In line with the latest Victorian State Government health advice, from Friday 19 November, all participants aged 12 years and 2 months and older must be fully vaccinated to attend our facility unless a medical exception applies. This applies to children in our program and any siblings that attend the centre.
 
Proof of vaccination will be required upon entry. Find out how you can get your COVID-19 digital certificate here. Immunisation History Statements are also acceptable proof.
 
If your child’s vaccination status impacts your participation, please contact us to discuss your personal return plan.
 
A few additional changes for your next visit include:

  • Masks are no longer needed in centre, however they are recommended when social distancing may not be possible.
  • Density limits will no longer apply.

In line with the latest restrictions, we’re excited to announce Indoor services including the gym, pool, group fitness classes and stadium will be available for fully vaccinated patrons.

Swimming lessons will also be resuming from Wednesday 03 November 2021.

Direct Debit information

Memberships

Memberships All current suspensions for memberships will cease from Saturday 30 October 2021 and direct debits will resume on Thursday 04 November 2021 and be debited on your regular schedule. Free access to members will be permitted from 6:00pm Friday 29 October should you wish to get a visit in before your reactivation on Saturday 30 October.

If you are not ready to return or you are unable to due to your vaccination status we are offering a four-week suspension period for our Health & Wellness and Aquatic members. If you do not want to reactivate your membership and would like to remain suspended, please submit this form using your customer ID number (provided via email). You must submit this form on or before Wednesday 03 November 2021 to avoid being debited.

Following the four-week suspension period, all memberships will be reactivated on Thursday 2 December unless advised by you. 

Swimming Lessons

Classes will resume from Wednesday 03 November 2021 on your normal day and at your normal time.

All current suspensions on your swimming lessons membership will cease and debits will resume. Your next direct debit will be on Thursday 04 November 2021 and will be calculated in accordance with closure periods and your restart date.

If your vaccination status impacts your return to swimming lessons (the accompanying adult must be fully vaccinated), please complete this form and a member of staff will be in touch to discuss your personal return plan. 

Important information regarding vaccinations  

In line with Victorian Government health advice services will only be available for fully vaccinated patrons. Currently, those under 16 years old do not need to be vaccinated to participate.

Childcare services will re-open following the long weekend, on Wednesday 03 November 2021. Please contact the centre to make a booking. Based on demand, session times have been reduced. 

The café will reopen from Wednesday 03 November 2021 with reduced hours.

A few things to note before your visit

  • Change rooms and toilets will be available for use from 6:00pm Friday 29 October.
  • QR coding, vaccination checks and masks will remain in place indoors.
  • All patrons, 16 years and over, must be fully vaccinated to attend the facility for both participation and spectator purposes.
  • Proof of vaccination will only be accepted via a mygov documentation.

COVID Safe plan

All staff have completed the Department of Health COVID-Safe training, as well as additional training provided by YMCA Victoria to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge to keep you safe. We have also provided additional training for specific roles to ensure all programs operate safely with social distancing requirements in place.

Contact tracing at our centre

Our centre is using the Victorian Government Contact Tracing System.

Please ensure you are ready when you visit to scan the QR Code on site and complete minor details to record your visit.

Our centre will comply with any physical distancing or venue density requirements as outlined by the Victorian Government.

All spaces within the centre have been measured and density limits per space will be displayed and imposed.

In some areas, staff and visitors may be counted as they enter and exit spaces.

  • Signage and instructions

    At our centre, you will see signage and instructions on how everyone can be COVID-safe. Hygiene and density signage will be displayed throughout the facility to help everyone with physical distancing requirements.

  • Covid-19 Vaccinations

    All facilities will comply with COVID-19 Vaccination requirements as directed by their government authority.

    The Y will provide staff opportunity to attend vaccination appointments and access vaccination information. 

  • Training for staff

    All staff have completed the Department of Health COVID-safe training, as well as additional training provided by YMCA Victoria to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge to keep you safe.   • Venue density requirements

    In line with current requirements Venue Density limits based off the applicable Government Guidelines of either 1 person to 2m² or 4m² will apply to the Centre. This Density limit will be applied to the Centre as a whole, as well as all individual spaces within the Centre. All spaces within the centre have been measured and density limit per space will be displayed and imposed. In some areas staff and visitors may be counted as they enter and exit spaces.

    Please remember that we must all play our part in helping stop the spread of COVID-19. If a visitor does not follow our COVID-safe practices, including Venue Density requirements, they may politely be asked to leave the facility by a staff member.

  • Increased hygiene and cleaning

    You will notice that hand sanitiser is available throughout the centre with the expectation that everyone (staff and visitors) regularly sanitises their hands.

    The entire centre is cleaned regularly and in line with current requirements high touch points, such as doors, toilets and gym equipment, will be cleaned at minimum twice a day.

    Staff will also be wiping down gym equipment regularly and antibacterial wipes will be available for visitors to use before and after using equipment.

  • Process for a confirmed case

    Our staff have been trained to ensure that if there is a confirmed case at the centre, they have the tools and resources they need to close down safely. All visitors must sign in using the QR code, which allows us to contact trace those people who were at the centre. There will also be a contamination clean prior to reopening.

    Please do not visit the centre if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, tiredness, cold, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath or headache. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please seek medical attention and be checked for COVID-19 at one of the testing stations across the state.
